EDIE 1971

My submission for REISS's 1971 t-shirt competition. 'Edie Sedgwick':

So basically, I discovered a t-shirt design competition through Dazed & Confused for REISS. The brief was all about when the brand began: 1971, and illustrating this date in an original way. I naturally began researching significant events in this year, and narrowed my ideas down to 4 starting points: The moon, Evel Knievel, Jim Morrison and Edie Sedgwick. I decided that Edie Sedgwick would look the most dramatic and stylish on a t-shirt, and basically just drew her face until i came out with this image! I based the layout on her last film 'Ciao! Manhattan'. I feel pretty proud of myself to be honest, since it's been a while since i motivated myself to do something for a deadline and i managed to come out pleased with it!

FEELING GOOD

This is Elle and Kitten amongst the daisies:

I had a lot of work to do on improving my outcome for 'The Feelgood Drinks Co.' YCN brief that i did last term, in time for summative assessments, and i'm well happy with it now! I had these 8 bottle characters who spell out the word FEELGOOD with their names. Anyway, they all have different personalities and i photographed my card cut-outs on location doing what they love as individual adverts for 'Feelgood'.

Pigeons mate for life. . .

This is part of my ideas process for a live brief for O2 to bring to life the idea that "we're better connected", so i chose some animals that mate for life and are obviously better connected!

This is just a start point, so i'll post back when i have more developed ideas and images.
